What information do we gather?
We gather the following information from all of our users:
- the user’s web browser
- the user’s operating system
- the user’s IP address and host name.
- the site (if any) which referred the user to ECSU.org.uk
No additional information is gathered without the specific permission of the user.
Why do we gather this information?
The information helps us to determine the audience of the site and our users’ browsing habits, which in turn allows us to ensure that the site is easy to use and that the content provided is relevant.
Who will have access to this information?
Any information gathered will be accessible only to the Communications Officer and the President, who may disclose it in summary form to ECSU for statistical purposes.
