The Pink Panthers are the women’s football team at Emmanuel College, Cambridge. The team plays matches against the teams of other colleges, and have been successful in recent years. The Pink Panthers are about more than winning though- we play football just because we enjoy it! From experienced players to complete beginners, everyone is welcome and is a valued member of the team.

We typically play football matches on Saturday afternoons during Michaelmas and Lent terms. We’re in the top division of the league after winning promotion last year. A number of our players also play for either the first or second university teams, Cambridge University Women’s Association Football Club (CUWAFC), as well as playing at college level. Our members also take part in many other college sports, such as hockey, rugby, netball and squash.

The highlight of the college football year is the knock-out inter college cup, known as cuppers. Emma were the proud winners in the 2005-2006 and 2007-2008 seasons and plan to try to keep the cup next year!

Match details and training reminders are sent out weekly to our main email list as well as being posted online. So have a look and come along: there is somewhere for everyone to start.

We do other fun stuff besides football: a big part of the Panthers is having fun together. We always have a social after a match to unwind with some football banter. Many other social events are arranged throughout the year that are simply not to be missed.

Join the Pink Panthers and become part of something special!
